Low-overtone JI (or low-complexity JI) is a term for JI that either restricts the intervals that one is allowed to use to low-harmonic limit intervals (whether odd limit or prime limit), or favors overtone chords that have a power of 2 as the tonic. The opposite approach is primodality.
