== Merge pages? ==
Should the two pages linked in the 2nd paragraph be merged into this page?

Yes, the articles have nearly the same text, I'd suggest to merge them into one. Also the here-links ("this list") are not acceptable.

== re: what do I mean with "todo:reduce mathslang" ==
I think a definition somewhat closer to everyday language would be better for all the interested readers. I for instance had to read very carefully to grasp it (though I knew it before). Some readers will feel excluded, I'm afraid.

Mathematics is not slang, it is terminology. If you want to try to put something in other words, it's important to keep mathematical terminology also.

Sorry, I could not resist to name the tag like this. The first draft was

"todo:reduce mathematical language"

and this was too long. I shortened it to

"todo:reduce mathslang"

wich will be easy to understand -

and sorry: I did not want to offend you.

Now my problem: I think nearly *all* xenharmonic/microtonal/tuning interested

people are *very* *very* interested in understanding the underlying

mathematics.

But nobody has enough time to study maths - wouldn't it be possible to be both:

understandable *and* precise with the introductional text of each article.

BTW: I think maths is a pedagogical nightmare for most people - sadly.

And this is--first of all--the fault of the teachers

(at least of the vast majority of them).

Best regards
