It looks like tnis EDO has 4 notes that agree with 12tet and 4 that are a quarter-tone sharp. Could this be a good balanced introductory edo?

If you are searching for a handy edo (for your ukulele?), than I think 9edo could be more comforable. Try the listening examples. But that's my opinion: to me 8edo sounds definitely too sharp.

So you mean my 8edo uke samples are too sharp?

I am working my way up the edo ladder and happen to be at 8 right now. I think I will settle at 14, 15, or `16 edo, which each contain lower edos as well. 9 edo is the edo I will do next after making some more recordings in 8. Thanks for the feedback.

shouldn't take long- I hope I can uncover a new side to 8 EDO not to mention lay down some of the only acoustic 8 EDO stuff- at least on this wiki and surely the only uke stuff you'll find. ;)

== Octatonic scale ==
I removed the claim it was the octatonic scale; for the Wikipedia article on the octatonic scale, see here:

what about making a stub article Octatonic scale and linking to it for the disambiguation?
