55/52, the Studnička semitone or Studnička comma, is a 13-limit semitone measuring roughly 97.1 cents. It is named after asteroid 5552, Studnička.
It arises in 13-limit just intonation as the difference between 13/11 and 5/4, the difference between 13/10 and 11/8 (and so it appears as a whole interval in jacobin chords), and the difference between 13/8 and 55/32.
It differs from the 18/17 semitone by 936/935 – an unnoticeable comma measuring about 1.85 cents.
This interval acts as a type of chroma when not equated with other intervals.
