:: I am aware that you did not create this article (and therefore that the terminology has precedent). I just wouldn't want you to spend a lot of time on something that has already been done (in the context of building the wiki), and I think it is worth taking the time to consider the existing terminology before setting on a way to present it on the wiki that makes sense for most readers. While original work is encouraged on the Xen Wiki, topics like this one should be familiar to anyone who has a good comprehension of the harmonic series, and therefore it makes sense to try to use the terminology that people already use. --Fredg999 (talk) 04:06, 2 March 2023 (UTC) | :: I am aware that you did not create this article (and therefore that the terminology has precedent). ::: I have written a draft for a merged version of the "Overtone scale" and "ADO" pages | ::: I have written a draft for a merged version of the "Overtone scale" and "ADO" pages in userspace at User:CompactStar/Overtone_scale. It includes content from both pages, although I have excluded the content about specific scales on Overtone scale since I plan to put those in the articles for those respective scales rather than the main article. I use the name "Overtone scale" rather than "ADO" primarily because as you mentioned it is more common. CompactStar (talk) 04:45, 2 March 2023 (UTC) |
