3ado, if the attempt is made to use it as an actual scale, would divide the octave into three arithmetically equal parts. The notes of this ADO form a 3:4:5 triad, which can be used as the fundamental consonance in some non-octave tunings such as EDTs in place of the 4:5:6 major triad.
