The term diatonic has several meanings.
In regards to scales, see:
- 5L 2s, the diatonic moment of symmetry scale
- Ptolemy's intense diatonic scale
- 5L 2s Muddles, which may also be reasonably called "diatonic scales"
- The diatonic genus, a genus in ancient Greek music theory
Note: In TAMNAMS (which is the convention on abstract MOS pattern pages on the wiki), diatonic exclusively refers to 5L 2s.
