In terms of commas, it is the difference between 243/242 and 324/323, 513/512 and 1089/1088, among other relations. By tempering it out is defined the kingfisher temperament, which enables the kingfisher chords.
Etymology
The name kingfisher comma was given by Budjarn Lambeth in 2025. It refers to LEGO Icons model #10331, the Kingfisher Bird.
969 ÷ 968 = 1.0010331 (to 7 decimal places).
Before that, Xenllium proposed the name buddhisma in 2023, referring to the 969 Movement.
