"The presence of 7/4" has nothing to do with my impression of it. Individual intervals hardly matter at all, it's the relationships between them that are important.
 
26edo is the one meantone temperament everyone seems to forget about.
 
26edo is great because of flattone, injera, and mothra. Flattone in particular is mind-blowing because it's meantone but 8/7 and 7/6 are switched from what they are in septimal meantone (e.g. 31edo). Play parallel 3-step intervals in flattone[12] to see what I mean. Some are 6/5 and some are 8/7. It's much easier to perceive flattone[12] as being unequal than it is for meantone[12] in 31edo.
