Along with the upload, Edwards wrote the following description:

In mathematics, the Fibonacci sequence is a sequence in which each number is the sum of the two preceding ones.

This mathematical phenomenon is frequently found in nature. Examples include the branching of trees, the spiral of a snail shell, and the arrangement of a pine-cone. The natural and beautiful occurrence of these numbers suggests a possible divinity.

It is clear that this sequence of numbers is of high importance, so why not apply it to music?

Using first 29 Fibonacci numbers, I have used a mathematical formula to generate 29 pitches over two octaves that ascend in the same pattern as the Fibonacci series between 440Hz and 2349.3Hz.

The resulting sequence of 29 ascending numbers, with progressively decreasing gaps, between 440 and 2349.3 is:

440, 1169.29, 1620.01, 1898.58, 2070.74, 2177.14, 2242.90, 2283.54, 2308.66, 2324.18, 2333.78 ,2339.71, 2343.37, 2345.64, 2347.04, 2347.90, 2348.44, 2348.77, 2348.97, 2349.10, 2349.18, 2349.22, 2349.25, 2349.27, 2349.28, 2349.29, 2349.30, 2349.30

The piece is entitled "Abyss" but feel free to come up with your own extra-musical thinking (if any).
