Since the base hexany maps neatly to the augmented scale, this degree of offset works well to provide a just 12 note scale that fits a regular keyboard unambiguously with many consonant chords. 6 notes have perfect 3/2's above them, a 7th has a 256/171 fifth that is indistinguishable from just to most ears, 2 are sharp and 1 is flat by 76/75, and 2 are flat by a syntonic comma, creating obvious wolves if used to create chords.
