16/11은 11분 반증 4도(11/8)를 뒤집고 옥타브를 올린 음정이다. 그러므로 반증 4도의 반대인 반감 5도(semi-diminished 5th)가 된다.
11/8과 마찬가지로 트라이톤이라 부르기 어려울 정도로 12EDO 트라이톤과 오차가 크다. 거의 정확히 1/4음 차이가 나기 때문에 16/11과 11/8과의 차이인 128/121은 피타고라스 단 2도(256/243)와 매우 비슷해진다.(정확히는 243/242.)
