1-3-11-13 hexany

From Xenharmonic Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

A 13-odd-limit Hexany. This creates a scale of 1 13/12 11/8 143/96 13/8 11/6 2/1, with steps of 13/12 33/26 13/12 12/11 44/39 12/11. The notes are divided into two close clusters separated by a 5th, with two of them being perfect 3/2's and the central one a 12 cent flat fifth that is noticeably out of tune but still usable. The most stable root is probably the 11/6, which has a neo-gothic minor 7th chord of 1 13/11 3/2 39/22 above it that does not sound xenharmonic at all.
