Indeterminates

Thanks for taking the time to write this out, it all makes a lot more sense to me now. I think I understand it all except for this Xs "indeterminate" notation - can you reference me to what an indeterminate is or what the word "indeterminate" means in this context? The only context in which I know that word is this

Mike, it's just a variable. Those are the unknowns that you're optimizing.
