Original Wikitext content:

Mavila is a type of scale family defined as having a generator significantly flat of 3/2 so that 4 of them add up to a minor third, or alternatively put; Mavila tempers out 135/128. Another consequence of this tempering is that the 7 note MOS scales are essentially anti-diatonic. E.A, instead of having a LLsLLLs melodic pattern, we now have a ssLsssL pattern. (see 2L 5s) also interesting is that it is possible to build not only 5 and 7 note MOS scales (as in meantone), but 9 note MOS scales as well. (see 7L 2s)
