Original Wikitext content:

After his conservatory studies in the Netherlands, **Jeroen Paul Thesseling** (born April 13, 1971) recorded two microtonal pieces with six-string bass guitar; '**HAFNIUM**' - study in [[72edo|72tET]] (1999), '**ARGON**' - study in [[18edo|18tET]] (2000). Since many years **Thesseling** has been inspired by the works of American composer **Morton Feldman** (1926-1987). Further on into his career, he started using 7-string fretless bass guitar with a sub-contra tuning, pushing the instrument and its unconventional role into contemporary classical minimalism. In January 2013 **Jeroen** announced three microtonal pieces for solo 7-string bass; '**TRANSLUON**' (by Jurica Jelic, tba 2013), '**DISCREPANTIUM**' (tba 2013) and '**MPULSE**' (tba 2013).
