This page is part of a worldbuilding project. It describes musical tuning concepts from a fictional alternate world, rather than the real world.

It may contain references to people, cultures, or places that do not actually exist, or events that did not actually happen.

This does not mean that it can’t be used to make real music—it still could be; it just means this article shouldn’t be used as a factual source about real history or traditions, or as a source of terminology and principle compatible with real established common practices and conventions.

The people of Earth#26 use 26edo as an 11-limit system, with 13 sometimes added.

Theory

Mosdiatonic is used in Earth#26 and is the basis of their music theory. In the full 11-limit, it is thought of as a center to inflect outwards from. The temperament it is mainly used for is flattone.

The conventional major and minor chords are tetrads. "Major" refers to the approximate 4:5:6:7 (0\26 8\26 15\26 21\26), while "minor" refers to the approximate 70:84:105:120 (0\26 7\26 15\26 20\26). A raw approximate 4:5:6 major triad usually implies a 7/4 voicing above the root, while a raw approximate 10:12:15 implies a 12/7 voicing above the root.
