POTE generator
I am looking for an understandable explanation of POTE generator, the linked POTE tuning (and also Tenney-Euclidean Tuning) doesn't help very much.
...maybe I'm not patient enough or too poor in English, but I cannot find a description in the text. Please help!

Would it help if I described how to find the POTE tuning in a way which did not attempt to discuss any theory?

Yes, a practical help to get done a particulare POTE tuning. Nothing against the theory (and links to theoretical topics will be good), but the way to percept a theory is better, when it starts at the problem. Try first to ask: What is the problem that is solved by this technique (an why is it a problem at all). I think if the problem is not well understood, then the solution either.

Temperament Names?
Does anyone have any idea why the temperaments have such cool names? Why are there no examples of songs or even samples of the temperament?

Some time back in the last millenium Herman Miller came up with a scale he called "starling", analysis of which indicated it was based on tempering out 126/125.

Did he know what he was making, or did he just to it intuitively?
