**Stefan Pohlit** is a German composer and music theorist (born Heidelberg, Germany, 1976.) His doctorate is in ethnomusicology and the anthropology of music, with an expert knowledge of Middle-Eastern music theory. He is at present a lecturer in music theory and solfège at Anatolian University in Eskişehir, Turkey.
