Zothogothic is a 17-note just intonation scale in the 2.3.7.13 subgroup. It can be used for an alternative fret arrangement on instruments such as the Turkish bağlama and the Persian setar. This allows one to play a number of different maqam-like scales that have a "flavor" different to that of the more common fret arrangements.
For a fret arrangement that has more notes in common with the one traditionally used for the bağlama while still keeping prime 7, the Zolugothic scale can be used instead.
