Eduardo Sábat-Garibaldi (1934 - February 25th, 2006[1]) was an Uruguayan chemist and the inventor of the dinarra, a 53-tone microtonal guitar. In his 1994 book "Principles of Dynamic Range", he discusses the theory and practice of the instrument. The 7-limit garibaldi temperament is named for him, but the 1/9-schisma tuning he advocated made his dinarra tuning optimized more for pontiac, with a tuning close to that of 171edo, so that it would actually possess numerous tetrads of pontiac temperament.
He was president of the Inventors' Association of Uruguay.
