We really need a name for this comma and the associated temperament. Anyone have any bright ideas? Yourmusic Productions (talk) 09:49, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
: Groundfault has named the fifth generated C-E# = 5/4 temperament tragicomical temperament. Inthar (talk) 15:17, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
:: Sounds like a decent name for the slightly out of tune honky-tonk sound it makes. I've got no problem with using that as well. Where's all this written up, as I can't find it anywhere on this wiki? Yourmusic Productions (talk) 17:11, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

:: I suggest some kind of variation on "very-flattone", as this temperament is basically on the very low end the diatonic tuning spectrum, between 7edo and flattone. I came up with the names "deeptone" and "nadir", but those probably aren't very creative. CompactStar (talk) 01:18, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
:::Hey, there's still plenty of unnamed temperaments to go around. :) I ran the math and there's 7&52 and 7&64 ones even further on the negative side of the continuum before the badness gets so high that they have no patent vals at all except 7. Nadir would be perfect for the final one of those. Yourmusic Productions (talk) 08:57, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
