Telephone numbers problem

One of your recent edits turned numbers in the page to telephone links. It seems like a problem of a particular browser on a particular platform. I'd like to know if that's the case. I reproduced this bug using Safari and visual editor. So plz at least avoid this combo in your future edits. @Xenwolf what can we do about this? FloraC (talk) 19:06, 16 September 2021 (UTC)

I'm afraid we can not do much about it. One option is to deactivate visual editor (which I, BTW, never use in production), but this will probably repel some users. To anyone who is curious, I would recommend just trying out how it feels to edit the wikitext directly (read: turn off the visual editor).
