Especially because we have to consider combined pipe symbols as meta sequences in addition to pipe symbols and often use numbers (including those preceded by a minus) in cells, the style of leaving space behind table meta characters has become established. You've made those spaces disappear by the majority, possibly out of a desire for consistency. I would heartily request you to make the unification in favor of the spaces in the future.
