I have been unable to find a good reason to keep this page separate from [[Software]]. They were probably created with different purposes in mind, as the sidebar seems to suggest (Software under Practice, Useful Tools under Theory), but I'm still unconvinced. Both lists share many items now, there's a "research" section in Software, there are many links in Useful Tools that relate more to exploration than research, etc.
