You can see my followup for why I changed it. The old Hornbostel made sense as a general &quot;septimal mavila,&quot; for all the reasons listed in the followup. Hornbostel is my admiration (and maybe my &#039;passione&#039; :P ) and Armodue my &#039;angular stone&#039;.<br /> <br /> I had founded that &#039;Hornbostel mood&#039; or &#039;Hornbostel temperament&#039; fits very well, like a very accurate temperament of course, in 131edo, 177edo, 193edo, 200edo and (for me the most equilibrated) 223edo. But, with respect the &#039;accuracy&#039; of the interval (2^17)/(3^11) (678.495 Cents or 5597,6 Purdals (; ) like a blown fifth, 214edo (121\214edo) and 237edo (134\237edo)are very accurate in that (359edo too works so-so well in it [203\359edo]).<br /> <br /> Incredibly, Alexei Ogolevets thinks in 200edo like a possible best Musical Tempered System for all the cultures of the world.
