This is mainly notable for the sheer number of repeated notes, as the [[3-5-9-15_hexany|base hexany]] already has one repeated one reducing it to a pentatonic scale, this duplicates another two, which when combined results in a mere 8 notes rather than 12. As such it is one of the most limited bihexanies possible in terms of combinations and varieties of intervals, with only 3 different step sizes and only 7 distinct notes, due to having 10/9 and 9/8 adjacent to each other, creating a chorused dissonance if they are played together. This is a detempered version of the lydian dominant or melodic minor scale, with four perfect fifths and two each of minor & major chords. As such it isn't too hard to compose with, but is relatively unadventurous compared to the many more xenharmonic bihexanies out there with a full 12 notes to choose from.
