While it only adds two notes to the [[1-3-9-13 hexany|base hexany]], they are well positioned ones, slicing the largest steps in two to produce a fairly even scale with 6 perfect fifths that makes a good introduction to neutral harmony. As the most complex steps are only [[352/351]] away from the simpler 11/6 & 11/8, they can easily be interpreted as those intervals, giving the scale even greater coherence. <br />
