New page

The second simplest possible Hexany, offset by a perfect fourth or fifth. This creates a scale of 1 10/9 9/8 5/4 4/3 3/2 5/3 15/8 2/1, with steps of 10/9 81/80 10/9 16/15 9/8 10/9 9/8 16/15. The base hexany is a near complete diatonic scale, this completes it and allows you to deal with the problem of wolf fifths by having two different D notes, one corresponding to 10/9 and the other to 9/8. This means any music that uses the standard diatonic scale without any accidentals can be translated to this scale, and it will sound completely unxenharmonic as long as you use the correct one of the two D's for chords and don't play both at once. However, the large number of repeated notes reduces this from 12 notes to 8, which makes it relatively limited as bihexanies go, and there are other ones that contain all these notes and more, making them objectively superior in terms of options.
